The artists participating in the exhibition LIGHT AND SILVER tell stories or moods through images. Each of them explores a personal or universal theme, developing it through visual means and presenting their narrative in the unique aesthetics of early photographic processes.
They are not merely seeking the visual effect imposed by historical noble techniques, but rather creating visual narratives that attempt to capture what eludes words — emotion, silence, uncertainty, wonder and texture.
The common thread of this diverse expression is the use of historical photographic techniques — wet collodion, Van Dyke, salt print, cyanotype, and others — giving the works their unique character.
At the same time, these explorations represent a return to the primordial, photochemical nature of the photographic medium and its tangible existence as an object.

My 3 series of ambrotypes
Among the 13 artists presenting photographic narratives created using historical photographic techniques, there will also be my 3 series of ambrotypes on glass:
INTROVERSION
RELATIOSHIPS
HYPERSENSITIVITY
—
INTROVERSION
A story about the need for refuge and the urge to withdraw from the world’s noise and excess.
A visual metaphor for turning inward as a way to escape reality.
A reflection on introversion, isolation, and the quiet strength that comes from solitude — the moment one seeks shelter within their own inner world.
RELATIONSHIPS
Works exploring the mutual interactions between individual and group.
A reflection on the state of separation from community, considering various forms of isolation – escape, rejection, alienation.
Created using the photogram/luxography technique on wet collodion plates.
HYPERSENSITIVITY
The series explores emotional fragility and the difficulty of forming bonds.
It speaks of the need for protection and the instinct to hide from a world with little space for tenderness.
A reflection on being overwhelmed by emotion.
